1. Install the WP-DBManager plugin
The WordPress database manager plugin (WP-DBManager) is a free plugin that lets you manage your database directly from your admin panel. You can use it to import/export databases, create backups, run queries, and much more.
2. Backup your site
Back up your site using WP-DBManager's built-in backup feature. If you have a hosting account with cPanel, you can access the cPanel backup function via FTP. Otherwise, you'll need to upload your files manually.
3. Delete old plugins
If you're having trouble deleting plugins, try disabling them first. Click Disable and then click Deactivate. Repeat these steps until you've deleted all of the plugins you no longer need.
4. Clean out your wp-content directory
Go to /wp-content and delete everything inside. This includes any directories or subdirectories.
5. Clear cache
Clear your browser's cache. If you're using Chrome, open the menu at the top right corner and select Settings. Scroll down to Show advanced settings and uncheck the box labeled Use a prediction algorithm for fast navigation.
6. Check your theme
Check if your theme is compatible with WP-DBManager. If not, download the latest version of your theme and install it again.
7. Update your theme
Update your theme to the latest version.
